Camp Bella Terra
Reading Round Up
Camp Bella Terra Reading Roundup is a unique and enriching literacy program that combines the joy of reading with the calming presence of horses. Designed to support developing readers, the program provides a nurturing environment where children can build confidence and fluency through interactive and engaging activities. Under the guidance of a skilled reading specialist, campers participate in structured reading sessions with gentle horses as their audience, creating a stress-free and encouraging atmosphere for literacy growth.

What better way to encourage your child to enjoy reading than by having them read to a horse!
Why read to horses? Well, horses provide kids with a nonjudgmental environment so they can just sit back and enjoy reading. Children then associate the positive experience they have reading to our horses, which reinforces that reading can be a fun and interactive experience. Talking to our horses about what they are reading also enhances their social skills.
Art with Horses
For Kids
Unleash your child's creativity with a one-of-a-kind art class out in nature with horses! Every month will feature a different art or craft project that will engage the child in appreciation of the world around them as well as giving them a piece of art to take home.

Qigong Infused Yoga
with Horses & Jana Reynolds
Qigong Infused Yoga is a gentle practice that pairs graceful movement with the natural rhythm of the breath. Experience the flow and exchange of life energy through this meditation in motion and feel naturally grounded and at peace through the presence of horses.
Jana Reynolds is a mindfulness and meditation teacher, guide, and devotee. She defines mindfulness as appreciating the beauty in the details of one single moment and feeling connected to yourself and to life as a whole through that appreciation.

For Adults
Escape to our farm, surrounded by rolling fields and the gentle presence of horses, and unleash your creativity at our unique Art with Horses classes. Each month offers a new art project, from painting and sketching to mixed media and nature-inspired crafts, ensuring every visit is a fresh and exciting experience. Come for the art, stay for the peaceful farm vibes - and maybe make a four-legged friend or two along the way.

Hanging out with Horses
Sometimes you just need a moment to unwind and relax. Join us at Bella Terra Stables and enjoy an hour with no agenda.
If you feel like it, do any or all of the following:

Listen in as we explain how equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning work,

Groom a horse as it grazes,

Go for a nature walk on our 26-acre property,

Art with Julianna
Out in the field with Horses
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to connect with nature, horses, and fellow artists. This monthly art series will be led by local artist, Julianna Zito. Each session will be a guided yet casual lesson in observing and rendering the beauty of the equine form in an outdoor setting.
Whether you’re a beginner eager to learn or an experienced artist looking to refine your skills, this workshop will provide a supportive environment to develop your technique and connect with the equine stars of Bella Terra Stables.
