Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy
Bella Terra Stables offers a unique therapeutic experience in nature with horses rather than within the four walls of a therapist's office.
Our sessions are done on the ground with our horses and there is no riding involved. This creates a level playing field with the horses and gives room for more interaction and greater bonding with them. We use the natural outdoor environment as our therapeutic setting and we work as a team comprised of horses, a licensed therapist, and an equine specialist.
THRIVE!
THRIVE is a group learning experience designed to strengthen children's understanding of fundamental life skills, self-awareness, and healthy relationship building.
Through direct interaction with our horses and each other, groups of children will gain valuable insight into their own inner strengths, overcome real and perceived obstacles to change, spark fresh discoveries leading to greater self-awareness and improved relationships, and create special memories that will last a lifetime.

What better way to encourage your child to enjoy reading than by having them read to a horse!

Why read to horses? Well, horses provide kids with a nonjudgmental environment so they can just sit back and enjoy reading. Children then associate the positive experience they have reading to our horses, which reinforces that reading can be a fun and interactive experience. Talking to our horses about what they are reading also enhances their social skills.
Meditation With Horses
Mindfulness meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body. Horses, by their very nature, touch our spirits with their beauty, freedom, courage, power, and heart. Join our heart-minded meditation circle and experience how spending time with horses in contemplation is serene and peaceful, inviting us to enter into quiet, healing joy.

New in 2023, join our horses in the backfield for Qigong-Infused Yoga on the last Thursday of each month.

A Day of Magic!
Every Spring (2024 date TBD), Bella Terra Stables becomes magically enchanted with Princesses, Super Heroes, Real-Life Heroes, and Horses!

Not only will our favorite princesses and super-heroes spend the day with us, but we will be visited by real-life heroes as well!!

Annual Halloween Festival Fundraiser!
Mark your calendars for October 28th, 2023! Come to our special Halloween Fundraiser in support of Kids in Crisis & the Horses that help them.
Come check out our horse's costumes as you trick-or-treat at their stalls, play games, win prizes, and make spooky artwork.
Trick-or-Treating, Games, and Arts & Crafts are included in the ticket price. Raffle tickets and food will be available for purchase on the farm.
