Beat the Burnout
First Responders & Helping Professionals

FOR

Professionals who dedicate their lives to supporting others carry significant emotional and mental demands. Day after day, they show up for patients, clients, students, and communities, often putting others’ needs before their own. Over time, this steady exposure to stress and responsibility can lead to burnout, compassion fatigue, and a sense of depletion.

Our horses offer a unique space for reset and renewal. Through grounded, experiential learning, participants reconnect with themselves, regulate stress, and restore emotional balance.

Thanks to a generous grant provided by the Staunton Farm Foundation, for a limited time, we are now able to offer our two-hour Beat the Burnout Wellness Workshop for only $10 per person!

Release

Our Wellness sessions use horses to teach us how to release pent-up stress, anxiety, and emotional turmoil through grounding techniques and tapping into the horses' ability to regulate their heartbeats as a herd.

Recharge

Connecting with a horse and sharing space with them in their calming presence creates a profound mind-body experience that allows us to recharge and reconnect with ourselves in a very unique way. It helps us regain perspective through bonding with another being.

Rediscover

The non-judgmental nature of horses and their intuitive understanding allow us to be fully present and find inner peace as we share space with them. It is in these moments of being present that we are able to rediscover the passion and vitality you hold within you.

Join Beat The Burnout

We now offer two Beat the Burnout Wellness Programs:

One for Helping Professionals and One for First Responders Only.

Through guided interaction with our retired and rescued therapy horses, participants engage in experiential activities designed to reduce stress, strengthen resilience, and foster meaningful connection. Horses have a remarkable ability to sense and respond authentically to human emotions, offering immediate, honest feedback without judgment or expectation. Their calming presence helps participants slow down, become more aware of their own needs, and reconnect with the strengths that first led them to a life of service.

Helping Professionals

Helping professionals dedicate their lives to caring for others, often at the expense of their own well-being. This 2-hour program provides educators, healthcare providers, mental health professionals, social workers, and caregivers with a restorative opportunity to step away from daily demands and reconnect with themselves. Through guided interactions with our therapy horses, mindfulness practices, and experiential activities, participants learn practical strategies for managing stress, strengthening resilience, and restoring emotional balance so they can continue serving others from a place of wellness rather than depletion.

There is no riding involved, and all activities with the horses will take place on the ground.

Sunday, July 12 @ 3:00 - 5:00

First Responders Only

Designed exclusively for firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and other emergency responders who routinely witness trauma, navigate high-pressure situations, and carry the responsibility of protecting and serving their communities, this 2-hour Beat the Burnout program offers a safe space to decompress, recharge, and reconnect. Through meaningful experiences with our therapy horses, participants develop tools for stress management, emotional regulation, and resilience while finding support, perspective, and renewal alongside others who understand the unique challenges of the profession.
